April 18th brought Roger McGuinn, folksinger, and earlier of the Byrds fame, to see Tommy. Roger is traversing the country recording with folk legends for a compilation album. Roger brought his own recording equipment and he and Tommy recorded "Tim Finnegan's Wake" and "Captain Farrell."

The Makem Brothers and Liam Spain, of the Spain Brothers, sang along on the backing tracks. Roger was set to record with Pete Seeger immediately following his tracks with Tommy.
